WinAce Archiver is a shareware compression tool that offers a wide selection of options.

The application can encrypt or decrypt compressed files, or do all the encryption before compressing files using UUEncode, XXEncode or Base 64 (selectable by the user). It also can rename, execute or edit files. In addition, the program allows the user to enter comments to the files and authenticity verification. The software can also test and repair the compressed files (ACE and ZIP files).

The file information is exhaustive with all the data about the compressed file such as Operating System, OS version, total size before compression, total size after compression, compression rate, date of creation, etc.

The program compresses files or convert files to an ACE format (maximum compression) and uses this conversion for optimizing those, with an option for keeping the original files.

The compressed files can be scanned for viruses and their executable or setup files can be run directly from the original compressed file.

Beside the usual features for compression programs, it can manage many of the compression and decompression formats. The compressed file can be protected by password and encryption for data protection and backup purposes. Selectable fast or maximum compression for backups files.

Check for Authenticity verification at ACE files.

The application includes a practical viewer for MS Word documents, HTML web pages, graphic and ASCII files.
